Ambassador Terms

These terms govern participation in the Recon Composites Brand Ambassador Program. By submitting an application you agree to them. We may update these terms; material changes are emailed to active ambassadors at least 14 days before they take effect.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Accounts and follower numbers you submit must be genuine and your own. Purchased followers or engagement are grounds for immediate removal.
  • We review every application by hand and may decline or remove anyone at our discretion.

2. Commission

  • Commission is calculated on the product subtotal of each completed order placed with your code or tracking link — excluding shipping, taxes, discounts, and any refunded or returned items.
  • Your rate is set by tier, recalculated monthly on trailing 90-day referred revenue: Ambassador 10% ($0–$4,999), Silver 12% ($5,000–$14,999), Carbon 15% ($15,000+).
  • There is no cap on total earnings.
  • Attribution window is 30 days from the click on your tracking link. Orders using your discount code are attributed regardless of the window.
  • If two ambassadors could be credited for the same order, the discount code used at checkout wins.
  • Commission on an order is void if that order is refunded, charged back, or returned. Amounts already paid out on a later-refunded order are deducted from your next payout.

3. Payout

  • Commission is paid on the 1st of each month for the preceding month, once your balance reaches $50 USD. Balances under $50 roll over to the following month.
  • Commission becomes payable only after the order's 30-day return window has closed.
  • We collect your payout details privately after approval — never through the public application form.
  • You are responsible for any fees charged by your payout provider.
  • Unclaimed balances are forfeited 12 months after your account becomes inactive.

4. Taxes

You participate as an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or partner of Recon Composites. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on commission you receive. US-based ambassadors paid $600 or more in a calendar year will be required to provide a completed Form W-9, and will be issued a Form 1099-NEC. We may withhold payout until a valid W-9 is on file.

5. Staying active

  • Post or story featuring Recon Composites parts at least once per calendar month.
  • Codes belonging to ambassadors with no qualifying post for two consecutive months are deactivated. Any balance already earned is still paid out.
  • Your discount code does not stack with sitewide promotions, but commission still applies to orders placed through your tracking link during a promotion.

6. Content and conduct

  • Disclose the relationship in your posts. In the US, the FTC requires clear and conspicuous disclosure — #ad, #sponsored, or "paid partner with Recon Composites" — placed where it is seen without tapping "more".
  • Do not make performance, safety, or fitment claims we have not published ourselves.
  • Do not bid on "Recon Composites" or misspellings of it in paid search, and do not post your code to coupon aggregator sites.
  • Do not represent yourself as an employee or spokesperson of Recon Composites, or speak on our behalf to press, customers, or other brands.
  • No content that is discriminatory, harassing, sexually explicit, or that depicts illegal street racing or reckless driving on public roads.
  • You keep ownership of your content. You grant Recon Composites a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to repost and reuse content in which you have tagged us or used your ambassador code, across our storefront, social channels, email, and paid media, with credit. You can revoke this for future use at any time by emailing us.

7. Ambassador discount

The 30% ambassador discount is for your own personal build only. It is not transferable and may not be used for resale. Reselling parts bought at ambassador pricing terminates your participation and voids any unpaid commission.

8. Termination

Either side may end participation at any time, for any reason, with written notice by email. On termination your code is deactivated. Commission properly earned before termination is still paid on the next scheduled payout, unless termination was for fraud, code abuse, resale of discounted parts, or falsified audience data — in which case unpaid commission is forfeited.
